Invert Week - Bug Themed Storytime

This program is part of Invertebrate Week at Swan Lake!
Each day, guest speakers and educators will join us to deliver programs on fascinating invertebrate topics - learn more and see the full event schedule here [URL embedded]. Pre-registration is highly recommended as space is limited.
The Greater Victoria Public Library is hosting free bug-themed storytime at Swan Lake! Join us for fun-filled stories, songs, rhymes, and puppets for young children and their families, followed by 30 minutes of social time and free play.
Who: Ages 1-5 and their guardian (older siblings welcome to join too)
Where: Swan Lake Nature House, 3873 Swan Lake Road, Victoria BC V8X 3W1
When: Friday, March 20th, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Cost: Free
Storytime 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM
Social time and free play 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM
Children must be accompanied by a participating adult.
This program occurs both inside and outside. Please dress appropriately for any weather that may occur.

We aim to make the Nature House accessible to all individuals. If you have specific accessibility accommodations or questions, please contact us (link embedded).
Entrance and Facilities:
The Nature House entrance is equipped with an automatic door opener and is approximately 85 meters from the main parking lot on a gravel path.
Inside the Nature House, there are two All Gender Universal Design washrooms and a water fountain with a water bottle filling station at the end of the hall.
We do not have braille or auditory interpretation for our exhibits at this time.
Accessible Parking:
There are two accessible parking spaces approximately 11 metres from the front door of the Nature House at the end of Swan Lake Rd.
Accessible Drop-off and Pick-up:
An accessible drop-off and pick-up location is positioned 10 metres the right of the Nature House entrance and has space for one vehicle at a time. There is no parking at the drop-off/pick-up location.
Service Dogs and Animals:
Certified service dogs (or service dogs in training) are permitted at the Nature Sanctuary, including the Nature House. Per Bylaw #7462, all other domestic animals are prohibited on site.
