Drop In Ecosystem Restoration 09.27
Description
Are you interested in supporting local ecosystems? Join our drop-in restoration event at the Nature Sanctuary and help restore endangered oak and sensitive wetland habitat. Volunteers will be working to remove invasive plant species alongside staff and other dedicated folx!
Meet in parking lot at 841 Ralph Street (red house on corner of Ralph and Swan Lake Rd) shortly before 4pm for location assignments.
Please follow health and safety protocols during the shift.
Shift Info:
We provide:
all tools needed (everyone gets their own set and then returns them at the end of the shift)
work gloves which are returned at end of shift (if you have your own garden gloves please use these)
training on plant identification and how the Nature Sanctuary conserve native species
cookies at the end of the shift to restore your energy
You provide:
willing hands and minds to learn more about this important conservation work
your own work clothes and closed toe shoes
